Panic attacks as I was told were caused due to anxiety within oneself and not coping with the ordeal given.. everything was overwhelming and too much to bear.. so to speak.. hence the brain ticked fast but the heart ticked faster.. so much so that one felt almost spaced out, lacking oxygen, and of wanting to run in fear.. but caused due to one’s own brain.. almost playing with ones’ sense of being…. I wouldn’t suggest taking chemicals, as that would only trigger more encumberances, especially when one has to be weaned off the medication, but, a good counsellor, one with whom one can trust or better still, taking stock of ones emotions, accepting the dilemma and dealing with it, that to me would be far more imperative as it teaches one to journey and grow ….
